Nintendo 2DS & Pokemon game £99.99 @ Sainsburys (now online & instore)

Sainsburys have the Nintendo 2DS console plus the Pokemon X game for £99.99 at the moment. [STRIKE][/STRIKE]I can't find it online so assume it's in store only[STRIKE][/STRIKE]. I also had a voucher for triple Nectar points on a £100 spend so added something small to it to get the extra points.

I know a lot of people prefer the 3DS but some children don't like it (my daughter doesn't) and 3D isn't suitable for younger kids anyway.

Sorry to the bearer of bad news but this deal is extremely hard to get. In my local store in Bedfordshire was told nearest branch to me with stock on Sunday was maidenhead and slough, miles away. Staff didn't even know about the deal and weren't particularly hopeful or helpful. Wouldn't drive miles in hope Definetly phone first at least.:)

I managed to pick one up at the barnwood store in Gloucester on Sunday, they had a few boxes on the shelf.

2DS is probably better for Pokemon; I have a 3DS and Pokemon Y, and when the 3D is on the frame rate is horrible-everything lags and it's very slow/awkward.

Thanks, I did phone, and they didn't have any in stock. I wanted the 2DS because my son struggles with 3D, and also because there are no hinges he can break! Smyths are doing it for £129, with the game, or Amazon for £99 without the game, unless I can find it on offer elsewhere.

Sorry I didn't realise it was going to be so difficult to get hold of I went to the Keighley store yesterday, they only have a small section for DS games and they had 4 or 5 boxes on the shelf.

Yes, thanks SO much for this, you've definitely saved me money! Was SO close to spending more. I even checked the Sainsbury's website yesterday, these weren't on there then!
