Interestingly you can't really be self employed within a business. You can be self employed and providing services for a business, but this sounds potentially dubious purely from the description. Can you confirm the industry/position? (nothing identifiable of course!)0 -

Empress: this firm is allowing you to take the risk in order to shelter income they appear to wish to hide from the authorities.
If your tax return is investigated and you can't show evidence you paid say 400pw then guess who the tax man will look to for the tax on that money?
