After lurking on the forum particularly this board i have decided to 'out' myself in the the world of MFW! In the hope of help advice and company along the way!
A little about me:
I am 23 years old and my partner is also 23 we have been together 6 years and are getting married next year. We have a dog who is 4 also a horse who is 5. I am a complete animal lover!
We bought our first house when we were both 21, we were both living with parents 2 mins down the road from eachother and felt we wanted to get on the property ladder, we decided we were happy to rent it out for a year and build up some money to move and buy furniture etc and carry on living with parents! 18 months later the plan changed instead of moving into the house we bought which was a 1 bed cottage we decided to buy another house a 3 bed semi that would last us. We still haven't got to moving in yet. we are currently rennovating the place, we wanted to be in by Christmas but looking more like late jan
The house has needed £12,000 of works doing to it and along with a £14,000 deposit. We bought it in August and i would like to send my first OP in jan.
Our first mortgage is a buy to let: £50,000 outstanding
Residential mortgage is: £83,700 outstanding 3.99% 25years 15%LTV
Both mortgages with nationwide they have been so helpful for us!
So the plan? Well i have decided to OP by £200 per month on the residential mortgage we have and top up as we go along. I am really determined to save interest and knock years off our mortgage but wold still like to maintain the lifestyle we lead. i love a cocktail and a shop! Oh and as the user name suggests we are badgers for New York especially at christmas :j
I hope ive provided enough info. i am actually useless with interest rates and numbers... woops, Not so MSE!!!
