T Mobile coverage in Northern Ireland

Options
Can anyone relate their experiences of T Mobile in Northern Ireland especially in rural areas. They claim good coverage in mid Down where I live but I never trust these maps.

Many Thanks.

    T Mobile is no more.

It's EE now. I believe all the T Mobile masts were turned off here.
  • What is the EE coverage like in rural areas?

No idea, you'll have to use their coverage checker.

Totally unreliable! Only way is to check it out from someone who is on the network or try a payg sim in an unlocked phone before entering into a contract.

Their map shows 3g coverage in areas where I know for a fact there isn't!

I think you can cancel your contract now if the coverage on the online checker is shown to be inaccurate.

One less thing to worry about.

Not much use for checking coverage though.

I have recently started using them - so far tested in Castlewellan and downpatrick and coverage is ok so far.

You can only get an overall idea from the maps. Every network will have highly localised blackspots. I'm on T-Mobile and have done pretty well after being on o2 for years. What I have noticed rather than actual coverage, is network speed. o2 must be over capacity in parts of Belfast.
Any network actually get coverage in Abbeycentre?! o2 was useless in IKEA but T-Mobile manages fine.
Anyone with an Orange, T-Moblile or EE SIM should get the same coverage now, so you have more people you can ask.
