I resumed comping a few months ago after a break (mostly due to work commitments) and I haven't won anything since....
I enter about 30-40 competitions every time I comp...sometimes more...
I need some encouragement!

Have a read of the I Won I Won I Won board, there can't be much more encouragement than that. Hope your luck changesLuck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

Keep at it and you'll win

Bear in mind that the majority of compers who post on here are entering upwards of 100+ every day, 7 days a week and you'll get an idea of the numbers involved in comping.
Various people have posted their own personal statistics and I believe it averages out at about 1 win per 1000 entries over the course of a year. So if you do 100 comps per day, anything over 3 wins per month is good going.
If you can handle the advents, you stand a good chance of winning in December as there are more prizes on offer. Best of luckLiving with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0 -
I'm a miserable git I know but I fail to see how threads such as these are useful to anyone.
Just enter the comps then forget & some may come back.
I do not record my wins but they have been many. The last time I noted entry totals in 2011 I think I entered about 20,000 separate comps.
If you do not enjoy the comping maybe it's not for you.0 -
I've only been comping for about 3 months - some days I do hundreds other days only maybe 20 - 30 depending on how much time I have. I haven't won a thing. My daughter did 100 in one evening as a one off, never did any before or any since and has just won a luxury weekend break in the Cotswolds. My Mum was quite good at winning stuff - so I think the lucky gene decided to skip a generation when it came to me! The older I get the more I learn to expect nothing then you won't be disappointed. If something comes your way then it's a bonus!0

This is what I mean. Of course the more comps you enter the more the chances, but sometimes it's really just down to luck! I have a friend who NEVER enters comp, she entered one once just out of curiosity and won a trip to New York....
This is why I am a bit demoralised and just needed a bit of moral support - I enjoy comping but lately I feel like I have no luck at all!!London Fashion Week tickets, Clinique Facial treatment set (I see it as a win :P) Mario Power Tennis Wii game, Aura by Swaroski perfume, Theatre Tickets to 'A woman alone' :T, £1000 with Kerrang's Scream4Cash, Links of London Wedding Themed Bracelet, Chipmunk O2 launch party tickets, Adidas All In gig tickets, Water For Elephants Double Bill tix0 -
Just carry on comping, you'll win something eventually I'm sure.
I have been comping on and off since the beginning of the year and I've won some lovely things.
I did stop entering things for a few months because I wasn't winning anything, then all of a sudden a Google Nexus 7 turned up in the post from a comp I'd entered months ago and made me start entering things again.
So I'm not the luckiest person in the world but I enjoy entering and dreaming about what could be mine! so I carry on.
My mum on the other hand has only been comping a couple of months and has won about £1000 worth of stuff!0 -
sending you lots of fairy dust ozma83 :A
think maybe lots of us sometimes feel a bit down when going through a dry patch & need a bit of support ((hugs))
I know I've felt like it a few times
& I know of quite a few peeps that only enter comps now & again & win but also others that enter all the time & win,
so it's as you & we all say, it's just down to luck,
keep going & lots of good luck sent to you xplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0
