How do underwriters/brokers calculated S/E applicants?

Hello hope someone can clarify.
Supplied 3 years certified full account an SA302s as requested to my mortgage advisor..
He advised me that because figures don't "match up" he has amended how my income is worked out.

I'm just confused here as I'm a director so my accounts go from
My financial year October to September and my SA302 are of course

for April to March... So they wouldn't be the same.... Would they??

What doesn't add up? Your SA302 reflect your (or your accountant's) income submission to HMRC - they are what they are?

Do your SA302s refect a different income than those originally given to the adviser to submit the mortgage application? If so, then it is a fairly standard process for the lender to update the application with your confirmed income from the SA302s. This could affect affordability, but your adviser should be able to calculate whehter or not to proceed, or switch to another lender.
