Seller wants to stay on after completion

Change all the locks asap on or after completion day.
Then you, as the owner of the property, has control over who has access.
We had a situation, not quite the same as yours, where we moved in to our house, the seller left his car in the garage saying that he couldn't arrange storage for it for a few days. We accepted this, thinking that all the keys had been handed over to us. A few days later, we were out and realised that the seller had come to collect his car and had a set of keys that gave him access to our house, possessions and garage. Fortunately, there was nothing further untoward, and that was that but it did make us aware that if the seller had other intentions, we could have been looking at a very different scenario.
As it happens, the car was a very nice vintage open topped aston martin. Must have been worth a fortune.
The legalities have to be followed - it doesn't matter that your seller is a bit put out - she is legally obliged as well as you...I would imagine that you had arranged the completion date with plenty of notice on both sides...
Hope it all goes smoothly in the end...0
