HSBC £160 fee or any good conveyancer on their panel?

I get I have to pay HSBC fees if I use my own solicitor.

How good are the HSBC panel solicitors? They're nothing to do with Countrywide?

I'm happy to use any solicitor in the country TBH as long as they're good and reasonably priced.

Any HSBC recommended conveyancers you'd recommend?!

HSBC's panel is pretty large so your best bet is just to check with the firms you are getting quotes from whether they are on it. I believe all CQS (Conveyancing Quality Scheme) firms can act for HSBC.

Through the HSBC or CQS website (sorry, I forget which!), you can search by postcode to find solicitors that HSBC will allow to act for them.

When I searched my postcode, almost every solicitor in my town came up!

The odds are that if you use a decent solicitor in your area then they'll be on HSBC's approved list. Just check first before instructing them.

That list is completely unrelated to Countrywide. HSBC will try and sell you Countrywide's services. I'd suggest you ignore them. :D

Thanks both. I didn't know that page existed on HSBC's website, so never bothered to look.

In case anyone in future searches for the same thing
