Right, now I'm REALLY confused!

Hi guys,

I'm quickly going cross eyed at all the different advice that I'm finding, some of which contradicts itself.

In a nut shell, the wife overstayed on two different occasions in two different car parks.

First was back in July in a Euro Car Parks carpark. I'm currently getting letters from Zenith Collections, sometimes 2 a week.

Second was back in October in an Athena ANPR carpark. Today I had a final demand before being trannsferred to a debt collection agency.

Now before I'm sent to the looney bin, my question is, do I continue to ignore them or not? I'm reading so many differing stories, some say to ignore, some say not to and either pay up or appeal. Has it gone too long to appeal? Should I arrange a settlement figure with them to save all the grief?

Just dont know what to do for the best.

Many thanks,

Paul

well for starters , as is usual , the poster (you) have not mentioned the region these "contravantions" happened in, as if it makes no difference, when it clearly does

but it seems clear to me that you have not appealed in the correct timescales so it would appear as if you missed the deadlines for PPC appeal and POPLA appeal after that , for both charges

my advice is the same as most on here, read the sticky threads, especially those by coupon-mad, and do what they tell you to do, normally the advice in those stickies DOES NOT contradict itself

As always, and I'm surprised you didn't see it, the advice is to read this :

And please search the forum for 'Recovery' as a keyword and take your concerns to private message instead with all the others who post about this rubbish debt collector letter chain of drivel, every day. That's what the 'PPC letter chains' (old link) in the sticky threads is for, to show you these crappy letters.

One search will find you the others last week who were getting all bothered about this junk mail and beating themselves up as they had not appealed. I eventually asked the four posters all running the same old threads at the same time to talk to each other. If people have missed the early appeal then I do cover your options in the 'NEWBIES' sticky thread at the top of the forum - but discussing the threatogram letters ad infinitum on several threads isn't needed and stops us helping with appeals.

One search will find those threads or even if you look back a few pages and find LoveNorfolk's thread. Please read the other 3 threads linked on his thread.

And you should not have ignored. Read the newbies thread; our advice changed almost a year ago.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD
