Money return

Hi
I have just applied for a mortgage and have the required deposit and extra.

I had lent out money around 2k to a friend a few years ago and he wants to pay it back. I had lent out with good will and no interest attached.

How do i go about it - will they question the source of fund? Do i need any letter from him?

    I don't understand.

If you already have the deposit and fees in hand, what significance does the repayment have to your house purchase?

What are you expected to evidence and why?

It doesn't make the slightest bit of difference, don't worry about it.

You are allowed to have a life outside mortgage and property land and it really isn't possible, nor necessary, to micro-manage to the "nth" degree,

The doctor prescribes alcohol in a reasonable quantity (unless of course, this is against your religion - in which case, your opiate of choice will have to suffice) and a degree of meditation.

Perhaps OP is worried that the mortgage provider will think he/she has borrowed money to make up the mortgage deposit, which might cause a problem.
