Hi
I was wondering when you guys reccomending putting up a real Christmas tree, we normally put ours up next weekend or so but I'm working most weekends leading up to Christmas this year and we always pick one out as a family so wondering if I could get away getting one today or if that extra week will end up making it look really sorry for itself by new year?
Any thoughts
Cheers

We are getting ours today too. In previous years it has lasted until just after New Year. As long as it's well watered it seems to be ok. You could always leave it outside and bring it in nearer the time to decorate if that would work?52 Week Challenge £15/£13780

We are getting ours next weekend. It should be fine. Just water it and don't put it near a radiator or anything. Last year ours lasted ages and didn't drop any needles until January0

We just picked ours up & he was telling us that a lady has been coming to him for 30 years & she uses Coca cola as apparently the sugars in that helps feed the tree. Have bought a bottle to try

Hi
All the trees get cut down at the same time anyway so it makes no difference when you buy it. There'll be more choice now and if you don't want to put it up right away just store it outside and keep it watered!
Hope that helps!
JxIt's a farmers life for me......:j0 -
you dont say whether you are getting one with roots on or not? much better to do that, then as long as you keep it watered and away from the radiator/fireplace you could keep it alive until next year!Car Boot Queen!!
Clothes Golden Rule: Never pay full price unless it is an utter bargain in the first place!
Sales, boots, charity shops, ebay- why would anyone ever pay full price for anything??!0 -
Give it plenty of water, we always put our tree up on Dec 1st and had no needle drop, but we get fir, not spruce which sheds easily.0
