meaning that minimum wage people can't buy a detached 4 bed house in central London then it truely shows how rediculourly rich we have become.
And how disproportionately the wealth is spread perhaps."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

The mortgage interest payments for a small flat in London or a modest family home in the southeast come to more than the total take home pay of an average employee. A person on minimum wages would have to work 80 hours a week just to meet the interest charges.

I have today written a very stiff letter to my MP protesting in the strongest possible terms that single people on minimum wage can apparently no longer afford a flat in London, or a modest home in the South East.

I think we'll see a rise as early as next year.
A gentlemen's bet that we don't.
After the next election is when it will happen. I believe it will possibly hit very hard (very high interest rates), regardless of which party is in power.
It is a long term aim, to end property ownership by private individuals, other than rich mass owning landlords. It is clearly stated in Agenda 21.0 -

.
No chance, I believe we will see a rate rise after the election but it will be very modest. Why do people think the banks can and will be able to keep the historically high margins we see today?
When the BOE rate hit 15% in the early 80's were most banks adding 4% on that too?0
