So I may not be following the meal plan religiously, but sometimes with having the baby I can't be bothered to cook big meals and we end up with something simple instead. But we are not having take-aways or ready meals or spending extra money... so a big success in my books

Last week plan went ok - swapped around a few days, so nothing wasted and only fruit, milk and bread / rolls bought. Freezer still ful enough for this week - considering buying a 25kg sack of spuds from a farm, and stocking up on chicken-factory chicken. this week I'm still 5:2-ing
not convinced it's working, perhaps my concept of 'eating normally' on 5 days, isn't normal. not much else is normal in this house

Something my mum made up! Basically it's leftover cottage pie in a toastie... We use the meat & veg inside (potato makes it a bit bland so we stopped using it), so it's a lot like a Cornish pastie
I make a cottage pie for 6 and set aside 2 portions (minus potato) to feed 4 people Toasties, just a way to make it stretch.
It's a firm favourite in this house... So much so we've had discussions of not having cottage pie and just having toasties for 3 daysWe spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. Change to plan already! We'd planned on having some bubble & squeak with egg last night but didn't have it so plan needs to change.
Will leave out the mini toad in the hole and move cauli cheese to Tuesday and have the B&S, egg, bacon, beans, mushrooms tonight instead. Sausages can stay in the freezer for a while longer!
