Jumping right past Christmas to the January sales (!) can anyone tell me if the ikea sale is any good? In particular I'm looking at wardrobes but having never looked at or been to their sale I didn't know if they include these basics. Thanks

In my opinion, the sale isn't very good and I've never been inspired to go.
I think they promote the sale as reducing thousands of lines a cross all departments. You might be lucky in that the items you want are reduced, but then again, they might not be.0 -
Cahnie is right. They have about 10 items reduced and they place them repeatedly throughout the store so you think there is a lot of bargains. You will occasionally get a good buy but it will be on a discontinued item so can't get everything you want. Days of IKEA good sales are long gone. Even the clearance takes about 10% off and sometimes things are badly damaged. Might get an offer like spend £1000 on a kitchen and get cheap fitting or a discount.0

Hi
I'm hoping there might be some kitchen stuff in the sale. Or an offer like they did earlier in the year, spend £1000 and get a £100 gift card.
Are there any Ikea staff on here who knows if any kitchens or kitchen items are going to be in the sale (or promotions)?
Thank you0 -
website says the £100 vouchers for £1000 spend on kitchens deal is on, first page en you look on their website has big red banner, scroll across to see the details0

Make sure you get a Family Card if you go to Ikea.
Would not recommend going until the rug rats are back at school though. Then go early on say a Tuesday.
PS If you want to know whats in the sale why not try their website? That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Ok yes, definitely get a family card. When I have the odd day off, I go for breakfast - 9 items for under £3, including tea or coffee. Last January, I got sent a voucher which gave me free breakfast everyday for a week. I only managed to go once though!!!0

They do Ciabatta bacon rolls at the Nottingham Ikea very nice, and of course you can refill your coffee/tea as often as you like.
But its best to work out the quickest way back to the toilets if you over indulge.
PS Don't forget bargain corner. That gum you like is coming back in style.0
