outdoor lights question!

I'm putting some outdoor lights up today (complete virgin!!) and I'm wandering about closing the window. Obviously plug is indoors so won't the cable be squashed??

Or do I leave it on vent.

Leave it on night vent at your peril lol, all your Christmas pressies, tree, telly, ipads, devices will be in somebody elses stocking on Christmas morning. Lol

It depends on your windows, PVC double glazed windows will still shut and lock firmly with the cable filtered through them.

We've PVC windows, and I always close my windows on the lead. My outdoor lights have survived 5 years so far :)

I'd want to connect something like that to a proper/outside socket, I'd not be wanting to plug it in, through a window, to a regular wall plug .... but then I'm a right wuss about anything electrical ...

Just checking .... eggs and grandmothers... they are proper outside lights I presume??
