Car Loan Rebate

Just to follow up, I did receive the payment at the end of last week. It was £5000, as mentioned my old car was the deposit (£12,000) and I had to pay a cash deposit on top (£1000) and the dealer paid £500 because I took up finance hence the large refund.
Still a bit galling that companies get away with long delays in making payments. My old car was the deposit so I only paid the cash deposit on the understanding that it was required to secure the new car and would be paid back in a few days, not 3 weeks. I ended up paying overdraft charges and of course the dealer is earning interest on the money they owe you the wholes time grr.0
