I must check out the pound shops, the one closest to us had some awful looking stuff but the others might be better :-) we have managed to price up sweets quite cheaply at a sweet shop near us who will order what we want and will charge us £5 per kilo for most things :-)
Did you find it easy to set up on the day? Oh is worried that I'm going to be too busy on the day to get the buffet set up.

I had everything bag up or in jars the night before and the venue were kind enough to set it up for me.
If i can tonight I'll put a few pics on here to give you an idea.
I got my jars in the 99p store if that helps.First Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0 -

Make a sign or bunting to hang across the front. It's a shame your in the west midlands - I hire out bowls, jars, tongs and scoops for £15! The customer then buys the sweets or chocolates that they want. As Millymolly said you can get jars on ebay - also try charity shops and places like the range/dunelm/home bargains. You can buy tongs and scoops on ebay - just be careful a lot of the scoops are really large and not only look a bit industrial but encourage people to take stupid amounts of sweets. Paper bags also on ebay but if you are going for chocolates or sticky sweets buy cellophane bags instead. Hope this helps.0

We are doing our own sweet cart - either my Dad is going to build us a cart, or we will do a table. I hate that the carts around here come covered in the company's name.
I saw these in Sainsbury's a few weeks ago http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/sol/shop/home_and_garden/123426757_home-collection-set-of-3-heart-shaped-serving-dishes.html that I think would look great, plus I got some glass heart shaped bowls for $1 in Dollar Tree in America - I bought 4 in case any broke on the flight home but they're all okay.
I LOVE this table that a blogger friend has done at her wedding here (5th photo down)I like to make money
