Natwest - Liars

Called up Natwest to arrange a mortgage - booked in to meet advisor in branch and continue with application.
Last minute call from Branch - cannot do the meeting etc... suggested rebook or arrange for a call through telephonic advisor.

Called up the mortage sales - reconfirmed the time for call back for the next day ; the same time as the original appointment.
Time came and went - no call, called up mortgage sales - requested to wait for another hour - four hours down the line no calls!!

Called up the mortgage sales - the person i spoke to had no clue about any appointment or call back or meeting -- mentions nothing has been logged into the system except the original meeting and checked with his advisor. Funnily he wanted to do another AIP - when i mentioned the one i had - just said IT HAS NOT BEEN RECORDED ON OUR SYSTEM - hence i will have to do it again. I was furious that two or those from sales had lied or were incompetent.

Is it just me or is Natwest this incompetent. Have been banking with them for over 4 years - think its time to dump them.

I used to work for RBS/Natwest (admittedly about 6-7 years ago), the really funny thing i found was that people employed under the RBS brand were very helpful (this included head office and branches). People under the natwest brand were deluded and thought they were still the old national westminster where they only dealt with affluent people.

Mistakes happen, but for that many to happen is a little bit beyond a joke.

My re mortgage is going through with them.
They called on time, got the paper work to me when they said they would and a very nice chap on the other end had all the time in the world for me.

Like everything in life, you are always going to get the small % of staff who are just not interested in what they are doing or are not in their ideal job!

Natwest affluent? My perception is that RBS was the more upmarket of the two! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
