Won P&O Cruise from Daily Mail

How do you know the competition gets redrawn I don't think it does this way the mail only has to give away a few holidays rather than the 500. If you can't go don't enter, typical of people these days if I can't have it you are not having it.

Well I still don't believe people knew the exact dates as you only had to put the name of the cruise e.g. Baltic, Canary etc and not the code so the Canaries one could be the December dates or January dates.

I would just like to say people didn't know the dates, the terms were to enter a key word that related to where the cruise went, eg Baltic and there were several dates a cruise went to that destination.

Scorpioangel posted the list up so people could choose. I can't believe other people are not fed up with these people who have ruined the chances of others, you knew the dates because you chose them so stop bleating on saying it's too short notice and you can't get time off work or you didn't want to miss your child's nativity play.

I repeat you could not pick your dates, that post was info only and showed dates for dec and jan, you could only pick where you wished to go.

The helpful list that Scorpioangel posted was so that people were aware of the dates. If you look at the Carribbean for example there were 7 dates (2 in December and 5 in January)

People were entering for a specific cruise, eg Caribbean but not for a specific date (although they may have thought that they were as they may have thought the cruise number was the code word...it wasn't, the code word was either CARIBBEAN, CANARY, IBERIA, BALTIC or WESTERN

I hoped to win a cruise in January for the Caribbean and thought I had a better chance of getting a Jan date as opposed to a Dec one (given that there were 5 Jan dates and only 2 Dec). As it happens, I won a cruise for 7th Dec

Are you seriously suggesting that people are selfish to enter if they could go on 6 of the dates but not the 7th?

Claire is spot on.

I think the list Scorpioangel posted was very useful but it may have lead people to believe that they were entering for a specific cruise as opposed to a specific location (it did with me initially)

Before I gave up my P&O cruise I asked the women on the phone what would happen to it and she said it would be passed to the next winner on the list so nobody missed out due to people not taking the option. People have circumstances that change between the time of entry and winning.
