It's been 19 MONTHS

I know loads of people post comments like this. But I've been comping for 19 MONTHS and have had no wins.

Not a bottle of anything.

Not a t-shirt.

Not even a single chocolate bar!

You don't necessarily need to reply to this, I just wanted to vent a little bit! I know it's the luck of the draw... Am hoping I haven't inadvertently peed off the comping fairy!!

Good luck to everyone in December. May your Christmases be bountiful!

  • Feel free to vent! I vented yesterday and I've had a few wins..

It's disheartening when you enter everything, but keep going, the more you enter, the more chance you have of winning! Lets hope that you win a big prize to make up for 19 months of nothing! :) Xxx

Must admit that you have more patience than I do, I'd have given up long ago. Are you sure that you are entering your email address correctly?

  • Hi Inesbitt - I can understand your frustration. On a purely nosy basis, how many comps are you entering a day on average?
    Would LOVE to win:
A hamper - any sort! A goody bag - any sort! A UK mini-break. A year's supply of something foodie. Anything Sci-Fi related
2013 wins - Cutting Room book, Rock n Rose necklace, £50 M&S voucher, Greggs coffee, £70 voucher for a Onesie

I have had a lousy year comping wise and other wise, the only thing keeping me going is next year just can't be as bad. It just can't.
Had cereal x4, sunglasses really awful ones fit for a child, and crisps.
And that's my lot unless the advents are really nice to me.
So we can vent together and hope the comping fairy hears our pleas.

    Zero wins 2016 😥
  • Blimey!

Poor you! This is a question I've often wanted to ask - what's the longest you've known anyone go without winning anything? I am not by nature much given to streaks of luck so I've taken the view that doing this whilst I'm somewhat incapacitated is just an interesting way of passing time. I can't look at it any other way or I'd go mad.

Thats a long time without a win. How much do you enter and how specific are you?

I have found that I have the most chance on prizes that are local, tickets to shows for example. Also Goodreads is a great place to win books if you like reading.

    Thanks everyone!

I don't enter hundreds, maybe 20-30 a day, and only things that I want (big and small!) as I don't see the point in winning something I don't want and deny someone who does...

I enter website comps, FB comps and Twitter mostly.

It is very frustrating, but you've got to be in it to win it!

If you have the time, you might want to consider entering more. I do 20-30 on a slow day and anywhere from 150-300 on a good day.

Also, as someone else has said before, local comps will give you a higher chance of winning. Look out for comps on local websites, fb's, and in local newspapers.

Wishing you lots of luck! :)

There's no way I'd have time to do that many comps!

    Thanks for the tips :-)
