Fathers Day basket I did for my husband. I am the chocolate fiend of the house, my husband is the sweetie fiend.
fathers day basket

My 7yr old son was so impressed with his dads basket that he asked me if I would make him one. Here are 2 that I made, one for each of my sons. Both baskets have exactly the same inside but are in different size baskets.
twin sweet baskets

Here is a basket I did for a couple. Inside there was a bottle of wine, a huge glass of wine that holds the entire bottle (as a joke, my friend does like her wine) some ingredients to make dinner for 2, which included tagatellie, dolmio stir in sauce. I also put in some minstrels and maltesers for afters.

I also make my own bows to add onto my baskets.

Those baskets are lovely, :A I would be well pleased to receive anyone of those, unfortunately its me that makes the things like that in my family so the chances of me getting a lovely basket is nil.

Fortunately for me my mom is into baskets too. She usually puts a basket together for me for my birthday. My 7yr old loves to have a go too. For Mothers Day this year he put together a basket for me using the items my husband bought. He followed some of the ideas I use by wrapping anything that does not match my theme or colours in tissue or wrapping paper. However, his choice of colours was unique......it was orange and purple. For me, it just made it an even more memorable gift

I look forward to people having birthdays now. I cannot wait to put together a basket. My ultimate would be to make a nappy cake or something for someone's birthday in the shape of a birthday cake. The ideas are buzzing in my head

There has been a nappy cake posted on here before and it looked absolutely fabulous. I love to do baskets for people, last christmas i also did a box of sweets for my boys. There was a thread about it, you get a comparted sewing box and just fill it with sweets, my boys loved it so much that I kept the box after they had eaten all the sweets and im going to do another one this year. someone had posted a picture of one that was for sale for £25. I think with the box it cost me about £5. and I get to use it again this year.

From the top of my head, all the sweets in my husbands Fathers Day basket come to less than £4. Cellophane and ribbon was next to nothing. My husband absolutely loved it and has asked when he can have another  .
Here is (from what I can remember) went into his basket.
1 pack of 20 chewing gum balls
3 mallow sticks
2 refresher bars
2 blackjack bars
2 fruit salad bars
2 sour flavour refresher bars
1 pack of frosties
4 desperate dan bars
4 pink chewie bars (cant remember the name of them)
4 packs of candy sticks
2 drumstick lollies
2 lollies (swizler?)
8 fruit lollies (with the pic of fruit on them)
1 pack of 4 jawbreakers
1 pack of parmaviolets
10 chew sticks
2 small packs of moam sweets0
