Hi guys considering approaching Stafford Railway Building Society for a mortgage.
I like the look of their products, however not heard of them much. I have found some good articles, but was hoping for some real views on their services.
All help greatly appreciated.
Gerard.

They have a good reputation in the town. They have, what I feel is a traditional approach - like building societies used to be. That's a big plus!
Nice people - pop in and see them if you're local. If you will the end, you must will the means.0 -
My experience with SRBS has been completely positive. I remortgaged with them a while back. It was a time when I needed to address the projected shortfall on my endowment mortgage and they were very helpful advising me on transferring to part repayment / part endowment. I'm in SE England and never heard of them when I started looking around but glad I found them.0

We actually live in Stafford and have our savings with SRBS.
AFAIK they are still only lending at SVR only, no discounts, fixed rates etc, so they won't feature on sourcing systems, or comparison sites.
I was gobsmacked reading a mortgage leaflet in there the other day. Loans over 75% covered by mortgage indemnity guarantee insurance, charge over property or savings...I am a mortgage broker.
