What to do after getting a survey done

Hi

I am in the process of buying my first house and i am learning as i go along. I have had a bid accepted on a house, the mortgage application went through fine, however as the house was built in 1900 i had a full structural survey done by an independent surveyor. They found several things wrong but nothing major.

What is the correct way of dealing with this, do i contact contractors to get an estimate of the work involved and present this to the vendors to negotiate? Do i talk to my solicitors, what is the recognised protocol for following up the findings of a survey in my circumstances?

Thanks

Work out how much the repairs are going to cost, then put in a revised offer to the vendor taking into consideration a margin of error in the contractoors estimates, then negotiate from there.
