Amazon Price Movements!

Just wondered if anyone has noticed this happening at any other time of the year. I usually add items I think my kids will want (or say they want) to a wish list in the few months up to Christmas, to make sure I have a decent choice when the time comes! Anyway, in the last few weeks I have noticed the prices of some items creeping upwards. Some others went back down again but others did not. I wonder if this is part of the big Christmas con where retailers put prices up before Christmas and then have the January 'sale'.
Also wish lists can be a good way to monitor these prices and I have now taken to jumping in and buying when I think it's at its lowest!

I have - I added I think season 6 or 7 of csi ny (was about £15) and had been between 12 and 17, when I looked the other day it had jumped to £40!
It's stupid the price changes sometimes.Using my phone to post - apologies in advance for any typos0 -
Nearly everything I've added as jumped up, tends to jump up by pounds but go down in pence
Best one yet was two and a half men dvd boxset that changed everyday by pennies going between £48&£50 then when I went to buy other day it had gone up to £870 -
I have been using amazon for a few years, and they always do this as it gets closer to Christmas. I now buy throughout the year, and a lot of dd's toys etc are got from them in summer when prices seem to be at there lowest!
The black friday deals can be good, but they dont tend to do very many toys!0 -
I just had an email from Amazon telling me Matchbox Smokey Fire Truck is £27.99 instead of 64.99 but when you click through it is £43.76 so not tempted or impressed.“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0

Yep, I just went to buy a sonic screwdriver which was £12 a week ago, now it's £15.
I thought it could possibly be because of the big Doctor Who weekend, so I'm going to give it a week or so and see if it goes down again. I won't hold my breath though.:rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf:0 -
I'm not sure if any of you are aware of camelcamelcamel a website that tracks the cost of amazon items so you can check historical price changes. And see if it's been cheaper before etc.
