Recieved a call from blocked number

Has anybody ever had a win from an blocked (not sure why it would be)? Missed it and haven't called back since.

I haven't used this number fora anything else. So its either a win or somebody has sold my information on.

This is on my iPhone btw, I read somewhere spam calls usually come up as Unknown and not Blocked.

wins from the cruise comp with the mail were made from unknown numbers

Didn't get an email or anything along with and they didn't try calling back.

So i'll put it down to telemarketers, unless I get another call.

Was really early (9.30am) though. I don't think I entered that one, but I did enter a different cruise competition.

My recent £500 voucher Metro win was from an Unknown number (I've an iPhone too)
I didn't answer the first time (I was at work) and they didn't leave a message, but they tried again the next day (telling me they'd phoned the previous morning). They said if I hadn't answered after 3 tries they'd have sent me an email.
I tend to answer most calls tbh, unless they're 0800!

Blocked numbers are sometimes used when the prize will be offered to someone else if they cannot make contact with the winner quickly enough - it stops people returning a call only to be told they would have won but the prize has now been given to someone else.

Not many have short timescales for contact and not all are blocked/withheld numbers so the chances it was a win are quite slim (I had a scam call from "microsoft" this morning and they just call random numbers so it doesn't make any difference if the number has not been given to anyone)

thats a shame if they havent stated its a time critical prize i dont answer any number i dont know but do try and look it up if its blocked then i gues i miss out

Am really annoyed at myself, i entered this comp but to travel in January and have had a missed call from a blocked number on wednesday which i missed and put it down to a marketing call and today i have had 2 calls from and unknown number, but my comping phone as been put on silent, got a feeling for some reason i have won just hope they ring me back,
