A friend emailed me this ebay listing yesterday, spend £1, leave positive feedback and get £2 refunded back into your paypal account.

The guy is on some incentive to ups his ebay ratings, only one per paypal account tho.

I tried it, got £2 back into my account this morning :)

Think its limited to 250 so I would get in quick :D

Ooops forgot the listing link

Do you need to leave feedback first, or do you wait for the refund and then leave feedback? If you leave your feedback then you are not protected anymore are you?

Hmmm ... very clever idea. Not sure how eBay would view it though!
  • Can't help but be suspicious of this!

What's the worst that could happen?

As i read it hes got to sell the 250 and get the positive feedback and will then refund the £2 to the buyers. With his feedback im guessing its genuine

e-decks need all the positive feedback they can get but it still wont outweigh all the negatives. They may get all good feedback for this stunt but wait until people start leaving feedback for their actual products.

Thanks though OP, free money is free money !

  • Can anyone answer kolibri's question. Does feedback have to be left before £2 is received?

I had put the answer in post 5, yes pos feedback must be left by all 250 people who have "bought" the £2, before he refunds the money. HTH

But that can't be the case - as the OP says they have had their £2 already...

So until 250 people give him £1 each then nobody will get any refund.

The whole thing stinks to me.

It'll cost him 10p for every sale, plus £250 (as your original £1 will be refunded). Some might think that is worth the "£1000" holiday, I however do not.
  • Hope I can help I "bought" this last night and left positive feedback straight way. I have now had an email about 10 mins ago to say I have been paid £2.00 by the seller
