I'm just going to copy and paste what I put in the I won section:
So found out today that me and my nan have won (because of her dancing) an all expenses paid to London trip, including meeting Arlene Philips , tickets to Billy Elliot and hotel and dinner all paid for next Tuesday which is AMAZING!



BUT big problem

after founding out we had won, my nan fell over today, BROKE her elbow and split her head open and can't go because of she has to be in hospital this time next week for an operation and doctor has told her to rest up but the part of the prize is Arlene Philips presenting a prize to her so not sure what to do now??? or if they will let me go if I don't bring her

Crikey! I hope you're nan is ok.

Congrats on winning too, the only thing I can suggest is phoning up the people who organised the comp and explaining the situation to them, perhaps even getting your nan (if she's well enough) to speak to them with the hope they might either let you take it later or offer you a consolation prize.

I'd contact whoever did the competition and explain what happened.
If they have hearts they will either let you and someone else go, or arrange the prize for another day when you and your nan can go.
They cant take away someone's prize because of a horrible accident.

I'd contact the prize folk and tell them exactly how it is (they'd have to be v mean spirited not to sort something out). Also, if you are feeling brave/cheeky/whatever I'd go to Arlene Phillips website where you can send a message and also explain comp win/Nan's accident to her. I had dealings with her about 18 months ago and both her and her PA were complete angels.


Once again I really hope your nan's recovery is swift and you (or better still both of you) get to enjoy your win! xx

Don't wanna get your hopes up, cos I might well be wrong, but my instinct is that they will not only allow you to go, but will want you to. I mean, for pure publicity purposes alone, the story is even better for them now - no offence intended by my saying that. My guess is that they will ask you to collect the prize on her behalf. Hope it works out that way. Let us know huh?

so sent them what had happened and they said I could go as long as I bring another over 60 year old with me....I don't know many over 60 year olds so guess I won't be allowed to go :-(

Your gran must have friends of this age, maybe one of them could go.

well in the end I wasn't allowed to go the closest person to 60 I could get was 51 but they said they would send my nan her trophy and some vouchers so not all bad!
