Please, please I really need help

I've bought a car on hp and its gone wrong
here are the facts

got car on Feb 9, got it on hp and paid £300 deposit (non-refundable)
and got 3 months warrenty

since then it has gone wrong , got white smoke ,black smoke , got no go in it , has overheated 3 times....etc etc

the garage has had it back tried fixing it . this was only after i threatened to take them to court ....twice:mad:
I have paid another garage to have a look at it to tell me wot is wrong , they suggested changing a part , which the garage did ... still no different
I have complained to finance company ..they just say that it's because it's a import and a second hand car ...I should expect these things
When garage fixed it I demanded an extra 3 mths warranty ..which we got .. so we should be ok till at least 15 august
When the car went in to be fixed they had it for 6 weeks . and as i have a disabled child in a wheelchair i need the height and room for both his chair and seat (I know they dont have to provide me with courtersy car). they gave me a landrover discovery to use which wasnt ideal, but at the time I thought we would only behaving it for a week tops ..not 6
and then when it went back in again I was given a antiquaited old rover
which was ok cos it was just for 3 hours
Now the car has gone wrong again( same problems as before)
The garage does'nt know wot is wrong with it ...or if he will be sending it away which means i'll have no car !!
my problem is ...
I dont know where I stand if i tell them to shove it ..with regards to the finance ..as i have been told that it's the finance company that owns car not garage ...so should i take it back to garage and tell them to put it where sun dont shine and demand money from finance company back
I dont know wot to do on one hand I need the car and on the other I dont want to be paying for something that is total junk and get into serious trouble from finance company ???
please dont tell me to phone trading standards as they keep saying ...'' they are doing wot they should- offering to sort it !!!''

I know this could be in wrong place..but i didnt know where to put it ... and i bet someone will put it where it supposed to be ;)

Haven't the goods sold got to be 'fit for purpose' or wording like that?

You might get more of a response if you put this on the motoring thread.

I'm not sure whether you can reject second hand goods as being not fit for purpose - why not have a word with a solicitor? Often they will let you have the initial consultation free, or your car insurance might cover you for legal expenses.

    hi,

also post the make model and year of the car, and what the garage has said they think the problem is.
you could also look for a forum related to that make model etc, i always do this with my cars and get some great help from other owners
