Refused loans because of husbands bankruptcy (4 years ago)

Hi everyone, I am really looking for some advice. My husband declared himself bankrupt 4 years ago. I myself have never had bad credit, always paid my mortgage, do not have any debt. Have a healthy bank account, I work part time. I have recently applied for a loan on two occasions and was straight away refused. I really would like some advice on any companies or a way (loan against my house) I may have to obtain a loan. Many thanks in advance.

Do you and your husband have any joint accounts? any that are still open?
Is he shown as a financial associate on your credit files?

How much were you looking to borrow? and where have you applied and been declined by?

As an aside - has your husband completed a post bankruptcy clean up of his credit file (assuming he has been discharged)?
