HI all
does anyone know what happens in the last 36 months in relation to PPR and lettings relief if you are letting your main home out.
Does it still qualify as occupation or do you have to claim lettings relief for the last 36 months?

Although I did recommend you posted here the answer is the same as last time
your PRR is the time you occupied the property plus the last 36 months of ownership0 -
The reason for this is that HMRC accept that it can take up to 36 months to sell a property. Once you understand the logic I think it makes it easier to understand why it is the final 36 months which count, even if the period of occupation was many years earlier.Hideous Muddles from Right Charlies0
