Picked up my £100 love2shop vouchers today but had to pay £2.60 on unpaid postage. I also had to drive 25 minutes to go and pay at the local sorting office.. Not very impressed.
Am I being unreasonable, as I did win £100..?

I'd be a bit miffed as well, but on the other hand £100 well outweighs the inconvenience.
I'd maybe email thanking them for the prize, then add a "for future reference" comment. I wouldn't expect anything else from them, but it would be nice to make sure they don't do it on anyone else. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Tell them you are not complaining as you appreciate the prize, but it was a bit inconvenient and you are pointing out their mistake to prevent it happening to anyone else.
You never know, they might send you something. I once received a bottle of wine for pointing out a mistake on a comp entry form.0 -
Much the same happened to me on a prize. The prize was a Jabra bluetooth car kit.I had £3.65 to pay.
I just emailed the PR contact on the compliments slip with a piccy of the PO payment slip & a polite note.I did not even ask for compensation but just pointed out the admin error.
In return they offered me another prize, which was worth about £30.0 -
Was paying at your local sorting office the only option available? Haven't been asked to pay a fee in ages, but the last time, i think i paid online?
There's some good advice here0 -
Thanks guys for the great advice, I'm not looking for compensation either just I got home and then felt down as had to go take another trip out to collect it from the other side of town.
I shall pop them an email to say thanks for prize, next time maybe...
And yeah, only way unfortunately was to go in to the sorting office... I'm normally given the choice.. Maybe it's cause it's close to Christmas that you can't do that? Who knows! I have my prize now anyway
