Whats your best Christmas buy?

Hi all, I'm new here, but have spent days reading all the festive threads!
I thought it would be nice for us all to share our very best Christmas buy/bargain, as inspiration to others, and as a reminder to ourselves just how rewarding being a super-saver can be!

My best Christmas buy is a bundle of Doctor Who figures from ebay for just under £14! There's 9 figures, and a sonic screwdriver!
Dh is currently making a wooden tardis with front, big enough to hold the characters, sort of a play item and storage box all in one.
I will then paint/decorate it, and put all figures inside before wrapping for my 6 year old Doctor who obsessed dd!

The whole gift will come in at under £20 and I know it will be her absolute favourite!

I've gotten quite a few bargains for this Christmas, as I started shopping early. I think the best bargain by far has to be the new Downton Abbey Behind the Scenes book. Some lovely person posted it on the grabbit board and I just happened to see it at the right time, it was £19.99 down to £3.49 delivered. I'm so pleased with it and I know my Downton loving auntie will be too!

I'm keen to hear about everyon else's bargains x

Two best buys here!

Bike for ds,£269.99 in Halfords.Took it back after seeing the same one on Amazon for £149.98 on offer!!!!

Second one:

Ds has been desperate for an old typewriter for ages,not sure why.Spotted one walking past a charity shop the other day priced at £45 which I didn't really want to pay on top of his other pressies.Walked past a few more times then decided to just go and look at it today as couldn't find any cheaper.

No price on it today so asked the woman how much it was,she said 'oh,umm £5'.Surprised I replied with 'really?' to which she replied 'ok,£3'

So,I walked out with a 1970's Adler typewriter with it's original case and ribbon and a big smile on my face for £3 Ds will be happy!

WOW! Make sure ds takes care of it, I think they are quite valuable nowadays! Great find well done!
