For those who want to try a few cheeses....the tesco finest standard meal deal thats £10 includes a small selection box as a dessert option...its priced at £3 so the meal deal using the orchard voucher is then £7...worked fine for me earlier in the week..

Is this selection box on their online shopping website? It sounds a great idea, but I was unable to find it, or any meal deal other than the valentine's one which didn't have any cheese in the desserts section.

These are all the finest* cheeses I've found, all but two or three are £3 or less.

SORRY...I've never even looked online at tescos and wouldnt know where to begin with online shopping...so I cant point you in the right direction there...
but the cheese pack you are looking for is part of the dining for 2 £10 menu...not the valntines option at £20
Its a british farmhouse cheese selection containing farmhouse extra mature cheddar..farmhouse red leicester and farmouse creamy blue
Its listed as a dessert option and if it helps the barcode is 5 053947756696
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend

Thank you for the description. I was able to find it on their website here, though it's "currently unavailable" online. Now I know what to look for I shall have a search in my local Tesco. Thanks for the heads up!

My vouchers have online codes so hurrah that means I haven't got to drive 25 miles to my nearest tesco. I can order online with my other shopping

Just went to Tesco Metro and discovered the Finest cheeses are on average around £2.60 so I had to buy two or I wouldn't be able to use the coupon - not best pleased really but I got some Double Gloucester and Red Leicester to try. I wouldn't mind if it was a product I normally buy - but it is not, I usually buy bags of grated cheese as we eat less like that. Too much cheese should be a wonderful thing, unfortunately my waistline does not agree :D

were you not able to use your £3 coupon because your spend was over £3 and an additional £1 coupon because you had 2 packs of cheese?

  • In my nearest Tesco they had Finest Mature Blue Stilton 500g reduced from £5 to £1.25ish barcode 5052910050519 on the shelf. I picked up that and a Camembert all for just over £3 which I thought was a good deal. The block is huge too, will take me a few crackers to get through!
