Can I pay my Mortgage on my Credit Card each month ?

Does anyone know if you can pay your mortgage on your credit card each month ?
If so can you arrange a Direct Debit, or would you have to make a payment each month ?

Would be useful to know, as then you can obtain cashback on your 'purchases'!!

generally no, I think the theory is they won't allow you to use one form of debt to finance another form of debt - also credit card company may look at it as a cash advance and therefore charge you cash advance fees/interest rather than normal "purchases" fees/interest........at least thats what I've read previously

I would of though because it`s cash your card would charge you the cash % of interest rather than the purchase % interest?

and you dont get cashback on cash advances.

I doubt any mortgage company is going to take a credit card payment (except for the survey or application fee).
