Anti Tracking Software

Evening all
I've just returned to comping after a 10 month break and was after a bit of advice.
I've installed an anti tracking software on my laptop called Disconnect. Some competition sites don't seem to like it and I have to temporarily disable it in order to submit completed forms.
Does anyone know if I am harming my chances by having this installed?
Thank you

Hi,I'm not sure why you need it to be installed in all honesty.
Most promotors seem not to care that we enter via MSE as the "I won" section seems to show.
If you are worried re them caring just drag the link to a new tab & the MSE link is hidden,as far as I am aware.
I drag the link & I have won the odd prize in my time on MSE eg a TV,high value holidays, wine, event tickets, cash, vouchers etc.0 -
Thanks for your reply.
I hadn't installed the software for comping purposes, it was installed months ago on recommendation from a "techie", I just wondered if having it would effect my chances0 -

Hi,I doubt that it would as most promotors seem not to care.I just drag the links out of habit now plus it is a bit belt & braces.0 -
Thanks weeowens, i'll carry on as I am for now.
I'm not entirely sure what advantages of the software are myself, I was told that it stops lots of unwanted spam emails/advertising etc which tracking sites pick up :undecided0 -
I've just had the updated AVAST system, and that now has a little app you can add on to Chrome, it blocks ad tracking and tells you how many companies tried to track you.0

I use RefControl for Firefox. You can set it so that when you click on a link, the website thinks you came from the actual website i.e.if I clicked a link here for a comp on the Body Shop site, the site would think I came from the Body Shop homepage or the page before the comp page (if that makes sense!)2019 Wins

Change Referer Button 0.44 is another firefox addon that manages the referer information.
The only issue is when competitions have multiple stages in the entry process (entering the answer on one page, clicking next then filling in your contact details on a second page) as it can prevent the answer information from being sent to the next stage but you only need to click on the icon in the toolbar to change the status of the addon.0 -

If it lets you enter then it should be alright. When I've encountered the issue it either keeps me in a loop (sending me back to the answer page) or brings up an error message.0
