"Once only" advents

How are they different to regular competitions?

Thanks Toni, I'm going to remove the once only area. I didn't really see what purpose it served anyway.

If it's like the one linked, as in a 'normal' comp, one entry and one draw, then it doesn't need to be linked to the Advents, but if say it's an Advent with one entry to be included in multiple draws (daily/weekly) then that's what I'd put into the once only section of the Advents.

Hmm ... I'm leaning more towards they're just like regular comps. I see what you mean bargainhuntergal, but once people have entered they can just move on and forget about it like they do with other regular comps. I've always seen the advents as a compilation of competitions that need attention each day or week.
Does that make sense?

It's just that if you're an end dater you'll not see it until near the end if it's not linked to either the Advent once only section, or to the main Once only thread.

(If you meant that they should be linked to the main Once only thread like the others on the board then that would work too, I just wasn't quite sure )

Edit to add: There was one the past few years 'Discover Rutland' where you entered once but had to check the winners name each day and claim asap if it was your name, if that one pops up again it might be best somewhere in the Advents so people remember to check everyday, maybe?

My hubby actually won a cottage break from that one last year, had it not been listed in the advents we would never have seen his name. I didn't spot it until late morning as I was working through the thread, but luckily he was still first to claim.
