Mortgage credit checks

Hi,

I have a mortgage set up ready to go with the Nationwide when we move into a new build. We are expecting to move in 2 weeks.
My question is - Will Nationwide check my credit score again on completion. I am looking to purchase a sofa on finance but dont want my credit score to take a hit if Nationwide will run another check before we move in.
Thanks.

    They may do.

Always best to hold off until the mortgage has completed.

Avoid any new applications for credit between applying for a mortgage and its completion.

You may not be checked again, but do you want to chance it?

I got checked by Nationwide at AIP, Full Application, and 3 days before completion. I assume this was before they sent the money to my solicitor.m
