Hello lovely DFWers - old timers and newbies.
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Today I will:
- send everyone to school with packed lunches
- do online banking
- get something on ebay
- not increase my debt in any way
- make storecupboard meals
- be positive
Have a good day everyone!

Hi hypno, hi all. Today, I've got a fair bit of stuff:
- have arranged to see a CBT person, so today I'm journalling about my trading situation (like now, I'm posting and should be concentrating, ulp).
- finally got some envelopes from Tesco green clubcard schemes, will be sending off 3 eligible used printer cartridges - 300 Tesco points right there!
- check my online banking to see that a credit card payment went out yesterday. I'd booked it on Sunday - I'm a little cautious about booking a payment ahead of time, haven't done it much.
- weeding an area so that I can plant some herbs today.
- I tried to use that 200pts WHSmith voucher last weekend, but my card dead. Tried to get it sorted today, and there's *no way* I'm holding on an 0870 line for a card, so have bit the bullet, abandoned the points on my dead card and the 200 freebies, and ordered a new card to make a new start. Annoying, but I should have dealt with it before. I *did* say it was a replacement card, that might mean I get the points from the old card, but I doubt it (hollow laugh). Off to pull weeds.
