3 Interviews in 6 days - feeling nervous!

  • All I can add to the excellent advice you have received is to do some research on the company or department that you want to work for. It's surprising how many people have no idea what a company or department actually do.

For administrative roles, I had to do tests to check my Excel skills and to see whether I could prioritise work tasks. Brush up on those skills if it's appropriate for the job.

A common question I was asked is what have been the biggest challenges that you had to face at work and also how would you deal with difficult clients, patients or customers.

I worked on a good answer to those questions.

You've got the interviews so the employers must have recognised that you have the skills and experience to do the job so hopefully that will make you more confident.

I am really nervous about interviews but employers are not trying to catch you out; they just want to get to know more about you.

Learn from each interview and use those experiences. I believe I got my present job after thinking about what I could have done better at my previous interviews.

Good luck with your interviews. :)

Had interview number 1 today. Felt like it could have gone better to be honest. Whilst the vibes were positive I felt like I let myself down. Have the school one tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully I'll be able to do better.
  • Good luck! Have a think about how you might have answered the questions better - not to beat yourself up but to learn for tomorrow. Remember to stand straight and smile!
