Morning All,
A family member witnessed a young girl fall down the stairway of a double decker bus over the weekend, she was walking down when the bus was in motion. Personally I've always found having to walk around these buses when they are in motion to be awkward especially when having to get up on time to when your stop is approaching.
Do many others find it difficult?

A) Was there drink involved??? Have seen this a few times beforeWhy come down them when the bus was in Motion... Why not wait till it has stopped ??
Would admit the stairs in those things aren't the best in the world but saying that I have never had any issues myself.0 -
It was a young girl of maybe 11 or 12 and no drink was involved. I think the reason for getting up while the bus is in motion is due to the fact that otherwise you may miss your stop. I've seen it a few times when I rang the bell and waited until the bus stopped at this point I got up and on a number of occassions the bus had taken off. It's not really the driver's fault, they have schedules to keep.0

I've not used a double decker bus for many years but I do remember you needed to hold on tight when going up or down the stairs when the bus was in motion.
I hope the child wasn't hurt? Was she ok, did she need any medical attention?0 -
I think she was okay Glynn and was helped off by her Mum.0

only prob is when a bus is turning corner, most times buses never go fast enough to have a prob, stairs can be a prob if you have shopping bags, getting off at last minute and running down them or crazy shoes, most people who dont like stairs sit on lower level :cool:0
