Hi, hope someone can help me!
Okay I am not the most observant of people and only noticed while online banking MET COLL SER where removing £10 out of my account!! I checked on old bank statements, they have removed it on the 15 of every month!
The back history(2006) is a credit card dept ran up by my ex husband, but the card was in joint names but my name came first, hence my dept! This card was owed £5263! I found the original letter from the company who had said I should fill out the standing order and pay the £10 as requested! I did not fill it in, it's still on the letter!!! 6 months later a Rockwell debt collection demand the money, I had money from the divorce by this time so cleared the debt!
What I want to know is (I know I should have paid more attention to my outgoings) how did they have permission to take the money and can I claim it back, it is 7 years of £10?
