Hi, we are buying an ipad (no not Apple ,I call them all Ipads !) and we are looking at Asus memo pad HD 7 or the Nexus 7 2013. We will use it to surf the internet and check emails ,particularly when travelling .We know there will probably not be a problem when staying in hotels and B & B 's .However if we want to use it where there is no WIFI available this would seem to present a problem ! No WIFI in the car for instance . We would really appreciate some imput on this .Thank you

You'd need to ensure your tablet offers 3G (or even 4G if you want to pay the extra) and then you'd need to pay for a dongle or some other way to access the internet but paid. AFAIK using WIFI can be free (though you can also access wifi you have to pay to use) but with 3G or 4G you'd need to pay a mobile internet operator (so O2, EE, 3....etc) or see if your allowed to tether your mobiles network if you have enough data to do so. Ask your mobile phone operator if your unsure if tethering is allowed or not.
