Hi guys,
My hubby and I are currently saving for a 10% deposit, fingers crossed for buying the middle of next year.
I have heard that Yorkshire Bank are now releasing 36 new 95% mortgages.
Question is what is the lending criteria for Yorkshire and has anyone dealt with Yorkshire BS in the past?
We are using a whole market broker and he has discussed looking at a 95% mortgage in the new year. This is because my other half has a default that is removed from his credit report in January. Other than that his credit is clean with good examples of paying off credit and settled accounts. I have a few missed payments from 2010 but other than that clean credit with history of credit being paid off.
We spoke to a Natwest sales advisor who said she could not see this being a problem but it seems that it is and these applications are being stopped at the underwriters.
Basically my question is, are any of the new YBS 95% deals available for people with a few missed payments from 3 years ago or is it only for people with perfect credit.
If not we are hoping to have a 10% deposit in May.
Thanks guys and sorry for the long winded post.

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to get some opinions on Aldermore and Virgin Money joining the help to buy scheme.
My husband and I are currently saving for a deposit and I was wondering if Aldermore and Virgin will make it easier to get a 95% mortgage?
My husbands credit will be clean come January, I have a few missed payements from a couple of years ago which will stop us getting a 95% mortgage at the moment.
Are Aldermore and Virgins lending criteria likely to allow missed payments?
Thanks in advance0
