Looking for a Christmas Cake Making Kit

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has seen any of the boxes for baking a Christmas Cake (most of the ingredients, including pre-soaked, fruit already in the box)? All of the Waitroses near me have sold out and the other supermarkets don't seem to be stocking them this year. I do know you don't need a kit to make them but I like the convenience!

I wouldn't bother with the Tesco one this year - they're getting some stick on their f/b page for needing dried egg white as an additional ingredient you need to purchase:

The Mary Berry one they stocked a couple of years ago was excellent - especially when they reduced and reduced it to £2 a kit!!Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0 -
The FB post is from last year. Don't think Tesco's are doing one this year.0

Saw what I thought was one on the baking shelves in my Tesco yesterday. It was with the other cake mixes, victoria sponge etc. It's on their website down here but perhaps not elsewhere?

I had the Tesco kit last year and wasn't too impressed with it. I thought the cake was quite dry and they seemed to use cheap ingredients.0

I asked the same question earlier in the month, and was told that Waitrose are stocking it.0

Thanks for the link, it does show as being stocked in my local store. I have already asked insore and they said they hadn't had any in this year, so I will check again. Failing that, I will do Delia's traditional recipe. I think I have most of the ingredients already, so no excuse!
I understand its convenient to buy the kit but you will get a much nicer cake by using Delia`s recipe and will probably cost about the same.Slimming World at target0 -

I had this too. I'm not a novice when it comes to cake making, but when I saw this kit on sale just before Christmas last year,I thought I would give it a go.
The finished cake had a 'sandy' texture. It was really dry.
Not good at all.0 -
I've made the Waitrose one - it was the last box on the shelf in my local store. It is half the size of the two I made from the 20 year old Women's Weekly recipe I use.
I did make the reduced Tesco cakes last year and "fed" them regularly. They were okay.
I have been completely unable to find traffic light cherries this year.0
