Does IKEA do Boxing Day/New Year sales?

I've identified a number of furniture items which I would like to purchase from IKEA. However, I am hesitant to go ahead and purchase them with the Boxing Day/New Years sales around the corner.

Does anyone know whether IKEA does Boxing Day/New Years sales? If they do, any idea how much they discount by?

Or should I just go ahead and purchase the items now?

    They do have sales but its not like a traditional furniture store where everything is reduced (mainly because traditional stores inflate the price outside of a sale). Discounts vary from a few quid off to large discounts on a few items - mainly if they are discontinuing something.
