Anti Virus & Firewalls

I have used Nortons 360 for years costing me a lot of money. Are the free anti virus programs around just as good, am I wasting my money. Its due for renewal next week. If I do use one of the free ones do I need a firewall program as well or does the router do that for you these days.

On 28 November this year visit https://www.webroot.com and you should be able to get a year's license for about 5£, might be worth picking up a few and getting webroot support to merge into one long license, that;s what I did.

That's AntiVirus, not 360.

Basic facts are that it depends upon your usage of the PC and sites you visit .

My usage is very general I do internet banking so need to be careful for that. Two teenagers in the house as well so both their laptops will need virus protection as well, probably much more need on theirs as goodness knows what sites they go to. Both were covered by the 3 user licence for nortons before.
