You can all play it in the office, then she can take it home to play with her children too'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

We are doing a themed Secret Santa this year, and the theme is White Christmas. All I know about the person I have to buy for is that he is in his 40s - 50s and likes gardening, he's always bringing surplus of fruit and veg he's grown into the office. Any ideas?0

Snowdrops?:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
I got Soy sauce from B&M in glass bottles for 49p each and emptied and washed them out to put the finished product in.'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

Some great suggestions here..... I've gone and picked a guy for secret santa that hasn't even joined the company yet ! Any ideas on how to spend a tenner? All I know is he is male and under 40 (don't know how much under!) Girls are easy but no ideas for boys!
Thanks in advance
our office is mostly boys: iwantoneofthose or cpc have good (if sometimes a bit daft) stuff for fairly cheap. I usually put a fair bit of thought into it but i have worked with the same people for a while so that does help! Popular for us in the past have been puzzles or quizzes but you can't really go wrong with chocs if you are really stuck - if he hates them he can always pass them on to his wife/mum/sister etc!
Not sure how much effort is worth it: one bloke in our office always gets whoever it is a mug. Last year i had a black scarf. Zero thought, zero delay in sending it to the charity shop!0 -

A nice pen if you work in an office might be appreciated0

I rather like the OP's idea of a folding double photo frame - OP, when you say that she hot-desks, does she have her own locker/cupboard for her personal things overnight? If so, I'd still go with the photo frame as it means she can have her children's photos out each day on whichever desk she uses. I found one via a Google Shopping search for £6.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

What about a mug she can use at work and fill it with some chocolates or with a drinking chocolate sachet and some marshmallows.
This is a great present. I got it one year and loved it, still have the mug and it was back in 2005. I did it myself one year and it went down a treat then too.
Otherwise, I would love something like a scented candle or a christmas decoration you can keep. Some good ideas on here.
I think wine, chocolate and smellies are not only very obvious, they may not be to the person's taste - my mam for example does not drink wine, only likes Thorntons and Roses and she is even worse with smellies. Hard work she is. Ha!
Also, I agree with what someone else said about photo frame, nice idea but some people (like me) only like certain colours and styles of frame for their home or don't have room in their home for any more and will probably put it in a drawer or recycle it, which is a shame.
At our work, we all just buy a gift, stick numbers on them and each pick numbers out of a hat and that's your gift - we are all women so its quite easy to buy something.0
