Bicester village outlet - any good?

Im 40 mins drive away from bicester village, is it any good? I mainly want stuff from superdry and the diesel store - maybe the hugo boss store depending on what they sell.
Ive heard people say cheshire oaks is better, but thats 2 hours from me, so was thinking id go to bicester one. Bargains or cheaper elsewhere?

If you are only 40 mins away i'm sure you will enjoy it, lots of posh shops to see, as for prices, there is something for everyone, like any of these places its a bit hit and miss as to whether you find a bargain, if all else fails you can go to Tesco next door and have a look round Bicester.

I love Bicester and would say that it is head and shoulders above Cheshire Oaks. Bicester has mainly mid to high-end shops and is extremely popular with overseas tourists so the stock is always changing. I live very close to Cheshire Oaks and have been pretty unimpressed on the few occasions I've visited. The stock seems to be sale stuff that hasn't sold in Chester stores over the previous year.

Also love Bicester but its quite a drive for me, have been there several occasions and always found something. Good range of Mid/high end shops. Go to Tescos for a snack they also have a Costa's and in the town (across the road and a short walk) used to be a really good cafe I found on tripadviser but dont know if its still there.

I think Bicester has gone more high end in the last few years.
If there are shops that you know you will be interested then, 40 minutes drive is worth it.

I used to be a regular at Bicester, but all my favourite shops: fat face, helly hansen etc have moved out in the last few years.It now is popular with foreign coach parties who spend big in Gucci and Prada.

I prefer Cheshire Oaks!!

Was there a couple of days ago for my first visit. Can't comment on the high fashion stuff (saw a £3,000 Zegna suit!) as its out of my price range but had a real feeling that it was stocked with all the !!!!!! they couldn't sell anywhere else. Also price reductions were pretty stingy. Not worth coming back in my view.

Was passing Swindon Premium Outlet yesterday and noticed the prices were much better. Timberland shoe prices amazing got a pair for £10 down from £50. Deckshoes £100+ down to £40. Musto also had some great deals as well. For ordinary stuff its much better than Bicester.

I went to Bicester last month for the first time and I won't be going again. The queues outside the shops were horrendous.

I prefer Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth. Not such high end designers, but much more civilised.

I have always thought Bicester to be aimed at wealthy Japanese/American tourists.

VERY expensive - unless you consider a £600 multi coloured anorak reduced to £400 to be a bargain !

Swindon or Street are both much better - and more parking !

I've been a couple of times and not bought a single thing. It makes me feel posh walking round haha but everything is still so expensive.
