Hi All,
I am looking for a little direction into what to get my boyfriend for Christmas, he is 30, we have known each other as friends for about three years but have only been together for a few months. I can be very creative when I get the time to sit and do something and LOVE sentimental gifts that have had some thought put into them.
I am a big fan of Pinterest but just can not seem to find the right key words or search terms to give me some ideas of what I want to make, I love the reindeer beers - He doesn't drink! I love the chocolate gifts/hampers - he is allergic to chocolate!
I want something thoughtful that shows I really do care about him, we have both been in recent abusive relationships and have helped each other to move on and so something from the heart will be really special to him, my heart is in the right place but the thought is just not in my brain yet!
Any help on this would be fantastic!
Thanks in advance!

If he likes sweets http://www.aquarterof.co.uk/ do some fab hampers. Takes you right back to the 80s! Not creative as such though.0

That's a good idea but would need to find out what sweets he likes lol it's hard because although I have known him for a few years I don't know all the little things yet and hard to bring it up in conversation to find out without him wondering why, damn this is going to be impossible!0

Could you make him a tin of homemade biscuits?
Depending on how creative you are/want to be, you could have a look at the Biscuiteers website and adapt. (Or buy the originals, their service is great).
Most men I know love food!:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
How about a treasure hunt around places that are special to the two of you, ending in a pub for a meal? I know it's not something he could open on Christmas Day, but might be nice to do.0

If you're after sweets, try bah humbugs sweet shop online they do a sweet subscription and they can send a surprise each month, or once he knows he's getting the sweet subscription (after xmas) he can pick which sweets he'd like. They have offer code on at the moment too - XMAS13 for 10% off.0

A decoration to go on the tree for your 1st Christmas together, start a tradition of it. What about a hamper of home baked/cooked things?Best wins in 2013 £200 and Mini iPad. 2014 no wins. 2015 2 nights 5* hotel with £300 vouchers plus £1150 Harrods gift card

Thanks everyone, some really good ideas here, going to have to do a bit of digging though I think as don't know what sweet things he likes, we don't live together so don't see that side of him where you sit and have a sweet treat, how annoying! Bought some Christmas cookie cutters today though so me and my LO will have a go of that :-) other than that was thinking of painting a plate in a Christmas theme, haven't done one in about 3 years and can't remember what paints I used before so lots of research to do, love it though!0

I use Pebeo 150 when I paint plates. Bake in oven as direction then they are dishwasher proof.Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes0

I have gone crazy on making felted soaps since I saw them on here, there are lots of tutorials online (I've found it works best making them in the foot of a pop sock or pair of old tights). I also love the beer glass sock idea, I can't remember which thread it was on but may be worth checking out too
You could also start a memory box, put a couple of small things in to start off with (I started with a small glass heart I bought for £1) then continue as your relationship grows. I can be as silly as a cinema ticket stub for the first film you saw together as couple etc, or a pebble you found on the beach but the things that cost less seem to mean more.0
