As has been reported in Computeractive and elsewhere, Vista can be a lot cheaper in other countries than in Britain. We asked Microsoft if it objected towards buying from abroad, which told us that there’s no reason not to buy your copy of Vista while on holiday in the USA.

I guess they changed their tune since Windows XP then as I had a US version of that and it quite clearly said on the box "Not For Use Outside USA and Canada".
